Privacy policy

This English version is a courtesy translation. If the two versions ever differ, the Spanish one prevails.
This site collects almost nothing, and the little that passes through here is explained below in plain language. If anything isn't clear, write to us and we'll clear it up.
Who is responsible
The party responsible for processing personal data is Julián Lempel, CUIT (tax ID) 20-42341620-4, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. The registered address is available on request. For any question about this policy, including a request for the address: hola@guinio.ar.
What data we collect
While you browse, almost none. There are no tracking pixels and no social buttons that follow you around. Nobody profiles you here. The only thing is an anonymous visit count, explained below.
If you write to us, through the contact form or by email, we process what you send and nothing else. We use it for one thing only: to reply and, if we work together, to carry out the work. We don't share it or sell it to anyone.
The contact form
It asks for your name, your email, what you need and a message about the project. When you need it by, your budget, your company or brand and your WhatsApp are optional: fill them in only if you want to.
When you send it, that data goes to our internal client management system, also hosted by Hostinger, where the enquiry is recorded so we can reply and follow up. We also get an email notice with what you wrote. It isn't used to send you advertising and doesn't subscribe you to anything.
To stop spam, that system counts for a short while how many enquiries arrive from the same connection and from the same email address, and nothing else. That count clears itself and isn't stored with your enquiry.
Reports
Sometimes we prepare a private report for a business about its website or about how people find it online, at a unique address only the recipient knows (guinio.ar/informe/…). To build it we use the business's public information: its Google Maps listing and its website's home page, which we review only once and following what the site tells robots. It includes no personal data, and what comes from Google is deleted after 30 days.
If you received a report from us, we record when you opened it and how many times, to know whether it was useful. The report expires after two months. If you write to us from there, your enquiry is linked to that report. If you don't want us to write to you again, let us know at hola@guinio.ar and we won't.
What your browser stores
This site doesn't use cookies. What it does use is your browser's local storage, with two values:
guinio:tema— whether you chose the light or the dark theme.guinio:idioma— whether you chose Spanish or English.
Both stay on your device. They're never sent to any server, they don't identify anyone and they can't be used to track you. They're there so the site remembers how you like it. You can delete them whenever you want from your browser settings, and the site will keep working just the same.
That's why there's no cookie banner here: there would be nothing to consent to.
Visit statistics
To know how many people visit, which pages they look at and whether the site loads fast, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, by Cloudflare, Inc., based in the United States. It works without cookies, stores nothing in your browser and doesn't follow you from one site to another.
When you open a page, your browser sends Cloudflare the address of that page, the site you came from, the type of browser and device, your approximate country and how long the page took to load. According to Cloudflare, your IP address isn't used to identify you or stored with this data. We only see aggregated numbers —visits, pages, countries—, never a person. This data is processed on Cloudflare servers outside Argentina.
If you don't want your visit counted, any content blocker stops it, and the site works just the same.
Server logs
The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like every web server, theirs keeps technical access logs: IP address, date and time, the page requested and the browser used. Our code doesn't generate them — the infrastructure does — and they're used for security and diagnostics. We don't cross them with any other data or use them for visitor statistics.
Third parties
The site is served from its own domain: the typefaces, the styles and the code. No Google Fonts, no CDN, no Google Analytics, no Meta. The only requests to another server are Cloudflare's visit count and, if you send it, the contact form, which goes to our own system. Both are explained above.
The links to our published work and to our Instagram lead to third-party sites, which have their own policies and over which we have no control.
How long we keep it
Contact form enquiries, emails and their contents, for as long as the conversation or the working relationship lasts, and afterwards for as long as legal and accounting obligations require. Server logs, for the period set by the hosting provider. Visit statistics, aggregated and with nothing that identifies you, for the period set by Cloudflare.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, update or delete your data by writing to hola@guinio.ar. We'll reply within the time limits set by law.
The owner of personal data has the right to access it free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is demonstrated, as established in Article 14, subsection 3 of Law No. 25,326.
The Agency for Access to Public Information (Agencia de Acceso a la Información Pública), the enforcement authority of Law No. 25,326, has the power to handle complaints and claims regarding non-compliance with personal data protection regulations.
If this changes
If we ever change what the form asks for, add another measurement or anything else that touches data, this page gets updated first and the date above changes.
